Gave a talk on how I've used film over the years--documentation, commercial, infrared, and now Instax Fuji poloroid--to a photography class at Georgetown College. Showed examples and explained a technique that is virtually unknown to them who have used nothing but digital.
It was an 8:30 a.m. class and no one fell asleep, some asked intelligent questions and I held their interest for an hour. Mainly I wanted them to see that photography can be fun, can help you to see things differently and can be used in different ways besides Facebook.
Now it's up to them.
Do these students still work with film at all, or are they strictly digital?
You've worked with both - do you have a preference?
